2017 1st Annual York County Federal Credit Union Run / Walk to End Hunger, 5/20/17 @ 8am (race starts at 9am): We are working on some exciting new changes for this years Run/Walk which will take place right on Shaker Hill Rd in Alfred with our friends and partners, YCFCU! 2017 Shaker Hill Apple Festival, September 23rd & 24th! We gear up for this wonderful community driven festival all year long. Join YCSP, The Brothers, Friends of the Shaker Museum, and Giles Family Farm for a fun family weekend with some great activities, food, and entertainment! 

2016 Past Events & Activities

5K Run / 2M Walk to End Homelessness and Hunger: May 14th. Our 9th Annual Run/Walk was the most successful one yet! YCSP raised over $25,000 to support our programs which lack funding streams. Huge thanks goes out to our two corporate sponsors, SIS Bank and Entrepreneur on Fire! Keep an eye out for information regarding the 10th Annual!

19th Annual SoulFest: August 4th - 6th. "Love in Action!!" SoulFest 2016 was an amazing experience! YCSP had the opportunity to share how Hope really does start here. The three day music festival culminated on Saturday evening when we shared the video above and YCSP's very own Executive Director, Bob Dawber, discussed Mission trips here in Maine and throughout New England. Rotarian Food Drive: August 11th. YCSP partnered with the Sanford-Springvale Rotarians and helped package food that will feed over 11,000 hungry Mainers! Check out the Journal Tribune article: Rotarians and YCSP 

The Ramble: August 27th. YCSP was happy to be a part of the 7th Annual Ramble in Salisbury Beach, MA. We were able to share our mission and support our veterans with the Adam Ezra GroupYCSP Bakery at Notre Dame even entered their chocolate chip cookies in the cookie bake-off and we gave out nearly 300 whoopee pies raising money for the families of fallen heroes. 

Mama Mia's: Our annual Mama Mia's has come to an end for the season! Big thanks to all of our friends who continue to come year after to year to enjoy some great food, great people, and great cause. We look forward to seeing you next season. 

Nasson Community Bicycle Center - Four Leaf Clover Ride: September 18th. YCSP's Bakery on our Alfred Campus was one of the rest stops! To learn more about the Nasson Community Bicycle Center, click here

2016 Shaker Hill Apple Festival: September 24th & 25th. This years Apple Festival was amazing! We moved a few things around to hopefully improve the feel and flow. We are extremely thankful for all in our community that came out and enjoyed some wonderful activities and great music headlined by Jason Spooner and John Gorka! We hope to see you next year!

The 7th Annual Harvest Dance (Benefiting YCSP Food Pantry): October 15 - Sanford Elks Lodge. Special thanks to Patty Hambleton for keeping this going year after year. All proceeds benefit our Thanksgiving Food Distribution and going directly to helping those in need! 

2016 Roberts Maine Grill Community Supper: November 15th & 22nd. Thank you Robert's Maine Grill and all those that came! We look forward to next year.

2016 Meadowmere Resort: Thank you, Allison and all of our friends at Meadowmere, for choosing YCSP as a recipient for your customer appreciation weekend in December! 

Eat Bread to Raise Dough! Thank you to all who turned out on Feb 16, 2017 to support YCSP at Panera Bread in Biddeford. We look forward to partnering again and getting more involved with an organization like Panera that is focused on helping the community! Thanks, Panera Bread.
